“There is no one size fits all solution when it comes to peace. There is no taking something from a context that is culturally historically very different and just putting it on a different context. Not that has not been tried before  in the past, but it does not work, as we should all know by now.

That does not mean that it’s not very valuable for conflict actors to learn from their peers rather than from the more academic perspectives, which can of course also have a use.

It is particularly helpful in terms of being able to visualize what could be, to see that some conflicts have indeed found resolution even if they were complicated.

It is easy to lose hope, and to see what is possible can be very helpful.”
